Furnace Does Not Heat
Thermostat settings, batteries, a tripped breaker, or a heavily clogged filter are common causes of no heat.
Safety first
If you smell gas, leave the home immediately and call 911, then call our emergency line from a safe location.

Step-by-step instructions

Set the thermostat to Heat and raise it a few degrees above room temperature.

Replace the thermostat batteries if the screen is blank or dim.

Check the breaker panel and reset a tripped furnace breaker once.
- 4
Confirm the furnace filter is clean and installed facing the right direction.
- 5
If there is still no heat, submit a request. If you smell gas, leave the home and call 911.
