Outlet Does Not Work
A single dead outlet is often on a tripped GFCI or breaker circuit that can be reset safely.
Safety first
Do not open outlets, remove cover plates, or work on wiring. If an outlet is warm, discolored, sparking, or smells burnt, submit a request immediately.
Step-by-step instructions

Check nearby GFCI outlets in kitchens, baths, garages, and exterior walls, and press Reset.

Look at the breaker panel and reset a tripped breaker once.

Test the outlet again with a small device you know works.

Never remove cover plates or touch wiring.

If the outlet is warm, discolored, sparking, or smells burnt, submit a request immediately.
