Small nail holes and minor scuffs can typically be patched and touched up by the resident.

Tools & supplies

  • Spackle
  • Putty knife
  • Fine sanding sponge

Step-by-step instructions

    Lightly sand around the nail hole or scuff so it is smooth.

    Fill nail holes with a small amount of spackle using a putty knife.

    Let it dry, then sand flush with a fine sanding sponge.

    Apply matching touch-up paint in thin coats, feathering the edges.

    For large holes or unknown paint colors, submit a request.
